[The front door to the hive slams, just as he comes across a framed picture in her respite block. It is a crayon drawing of the four rebels signed by Nepeta. It looks a little worn, and covered in a couple faint olive green splotches. Judging by its place of importance right next to the sleeping square, it is probably quite important to her.]

[He examines the picture quickly, then slips it into his captchalogue before moving to the doorway of her respite block]

Are you done sneakin' about, hmm? I'm gettin' bored a wwaiting for you.

[Her voice responds, coming from the front of the hive.]

Silly fin-head, you court a huntress and expect to claim her without a hunt?

[The sound of the front door opening echos to the back of the hive.]

[He rolls his eyes, then smirks and quietly slips towards the window in the bedroom. Perhaps he'll circle around and surprise her.

After all, he has hunted quite a bit before. Though in that case, it was dumb animals.]

[It had been awhile since she had had a proper Alternian hunt. Disciple had done her best to stay in her prime hunting on the island, but the beasts there were not quite as aggressive or dangerous as what you would find in the wilds of Alternia.]

[The front door left open, she moves stealthily about the front of the hive preparing for Dualscar. He was dangerously smart, so she would have to get creative.]

Is this place house-shaped or like an apartment building?

[Dualscar moves slowly and stealthily around the hive, fins spread and quivering as he uses all his senses to detect the merest rustle of grass. He expects an ambush, and is trying to consider an unorthodox angle he can come from, perhaps on the roof, if he can get there and command a better view. he's a sniper at heart. He likes to see what he's hunting from a long way off.]

[The outside seems relatively quiet, as there is no apparent sign of her. Numerous points of the lower hanging tiles allow for access to the roof. A single echo of metal scraping on glass can be heard coming through the front door.]

[He grimaces at the sound, but takes a powerful jump and catches onto the roof tile, then hauls himself up. He lets his boots clomp on the roof as he climbs to the peak and looks around, pulling out his rifle. Maybe Disciple is inside, but if so then she'll know he's on the roof, and he'll hopefully see her if she comes out to confront him.]

[The roof? Interesting. The sound of boot on tile can be heard quite easily throughout the entire hive. It actually causes the Disciple to pause in her action. The fact that she had heard his ascent meant he intended her to. As much as she might want him to be foolish enough to broadcast his location on accident, she knew better. So this how he was going to play the game? Very well.]

[He will have been on the roof for about a minute when a message appears on his communicator. At the same time, Disciple moves through to the back of the hive.]

[Just for fun, he fires off a blast, burning a hole in her lawnring]

[The sound of the blast staggers her a little both physically, and mentally. Did he seriously just... this was getting a little out of hand.]

Did you just seriously fire your gun at my lawnring?

[Okay, maybe it was a bit of overkill. He swings down to the ground again and begins to ease her front door open, hoping to surprise her coming to investigate]

[Easing the door open reveals the main room empty. If he enters he will find one thing out of place that was not here before. On the table was a small plate with a cupcake sitting on it. Next to it a folded piece of paper simply marked "-D". A trap, or was it?]

[He stares at the cupcake for a moment. Poison wouldn't be impossible, but would Disciple actually try to poison him? He picks up the cupcake and smells it suspiciously. Is "D" for Disciple, or for Dualscar?]

[The small cake smells peculiar, yet familiar. It was the smell of black jelly beans.]

I read the fuckin' note.

[Okay, he hadn't noticed the note, but now he looks. Now that he has seen it, he crams the cupcake into his mouth, chews and swallows with a feeling of victory.

Then he sweeps towards the respite block, eagerly anticipating what he'll find there]

[He'll find her in the respite block as it said in the note. A waiting Disciple is lying on the bed, her posture quite suggestive. Looks like the game really is done, there is no sign of a trap of any kind.]

[Ah, excellent. He smiles and starts forward, a fire of desire alighting in his violet eyes]

[A look that is matched by Disciple. The play hunt may have been short, but it was enough to get her blood pumping.]

[She stretches languidly, accentuating her figure.]

[Oh that is nice. He strides across the room, intending to put a knee on the bed and lean over her]

You don't seem to mind so much. [He grins, preening at the compliment, even if she does try to temper it with mild insults. He reaches out a hand and lays it on her hip, giving it a squeeze] You led me a bit of a chase...

Well, I hope the end result is worth it. It is no fun to claim a reward without having to exert an effort to achieve it.

[She responds to the touch. Tracing one of her claws lightly up the arm that was touching her.]

[He makes a little pleasurable rumbling sound, and shifts closer, leaning over to kiss her. He's so ready to claim his reward.]

[She plays good long enough for the kiss, something she is still not quite used to from him. She breaks from the kiss, shoving him back a step. Disciple did not want slow and tender. What kept driving her back to Dualscar was passion. She had no problem Passion which drives her swiftly to her feet. After her footing was gained, she launches herself at him, looking to renew the kiss.]
